Boca Raton's North Park is moving from plans toward construction, but the park is not opening all at once. A check of the Beach and Park District's public updates on October 6 shows three different statuses: an attraction families can already use, east-side work underway, and additional facilities still subject to approvals.
This is in Boca Teeca in east Boca, on the former Ocean Breeze golf course. It is a Boca-wide destination to watch, not a new West Boca neighborhood park. The groundbreaking was in early September; this is a planning update, not a claim that construction started today.
The east-side phase covers 70 acres. The district's September 21 report describes more than five miles of walking and riding trails, a dog park, a playground and exercise equipment along some trails. It also plans more than 1,000 native trees. These are planned amenities, not attractions ready to visit.
Boca Paddle, the indoor/outdoor pickleball and padel club near NW 2nd Avenue and Jeffrey Street, was expected to open in November in that September report. No exact opening day, public booking availability or price is confirmed here. Keep November as a target, not a reservation.
There is already a reason families might consider a visit: the Traffic Garden. The district's project page says it is open, with restrooms, a shaded seating area and nearby parking. It gives young cyclists and scooter riders a car-free setting to practice road safety. This is an existing attraction, not a new October opening.
A skatepark and pump track are a separate project. The district says public engagement and conceptual planning are complete, but design, permitting and City approvals must advance before construction can begin. The wider overview also lists a field house and aquatic facilities as proposals, not approved additions.
The practical takeaway: do not treat a master plan as a list of activities available this weekend. Check the district's project page for current access, and wait for a dated opening announcement before planning around Boca Paddle or any future facility.
We will revisit this guide when an opening date, booking details or a documented construction milestone changes what residents can actually do. Source pages were checked October 6; opening targets may change.
